Duration: 3 days
Objective: At the end of this training, the trainees
should be able to demonstrate an understanding of the underlying principles
and safety aspects of operating a boiler in combined-cycle and conventional
thermal power plants.
Content: Covers theory on steam cycle (including
heat transfer, Steam Tables and Mollier Diagram), main boiler components, boiler
water treatment, Water and Steam Systems, boiler valves, boiler control and
protection, boiler startup, normal, shutdown and emergency operations.
Target Group: Operation Managers, Operation Engineers,
Shift Engineers, Performance Managers, Performance Engineers and Plant Operators
of gas turbine, combined-cycle, and conventional thermal power plants.
